Students said about DTS...
"When I signed up for my DTS I didn’t really know what to expect, but it was an experience I will never forget and will hold close in my heart for the rest of my life. Throughout my journey I grew in my faith, unlocked new spiritual gifts, met some amazing people and made friends for life. The team provided a safe supportive environment to ask the difficult questions, to cry, to heal and to be closer with God. If you’re looking for a space to grow this is a great place to do it."
Beth, ENGLAND (Journey DTS 2022)
"There was never a stale moment traveling across Central Europe. It was during those six months I encountered so many unique people and walked away with new stories of what God was doing. I specifically remember trying to share the gospel with a Serbian mother and her daughter. I didn't speak Serbian and had to rely on Google translate. She almost understood everything. Before leaving I was able to give them a children's Bible and they were receptive. DTS in Central Europe presented opportunities for me to authentically represent Christ as myself. Wherever I went I brought my outgoingness, willing heart, and love for others. For example, while finishing lecture phase in Constanta, Romania, I played basketball with kids and teens at a local park. I became their friend and garnered their trust. I was able to use the sport as a doorway into the gospel. During DTS God taught me to "enjoy the fruit of what I'm doing in your life". Now I see what he meant, when I surrender my desires and obediently submit to Him. Lastly, serving is not without heaviness and weariness. Sometimes during outreach I didn't "feel" like I was giving my all. However, Jesus said in John 7:37-38: "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water..." DTS asks you to put aside childish things, keeping your heart open, and inviting God into each day. What are you waiting for? This is a wonderful opportunity to know God and make Him known."
